DARLING BUDS… DAHLIA

I love Dahlia buds, so photogenic, and flowers are like people, some are more so than others! Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, perennial plants native to Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. There are at least 36 species of dahlia. Dahlia hybrids are commonly grown as garden plants. The Aztecs gathered and cultivated the dahlia for food, ceremonies, as well as decorative purposes, and the long woody stem of one variety was used for small pipes. The dahlia is named after Swedish 18th-century botanist Anders Dahl. thanks for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*) IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN (BY LAW!!!) THE YOUNG ONES… DAHLIA

BUDS. You know, I do like Dahlias, all the shapes and colours, however, I love the buds even more? The sepals become translucent, the colour starting to show. So, I thought I’d give them prime-time in the studio and showcase them. The Aztecs gathered and cultivated the dahlia for food, ceremonies, as well as decorative purposes, and the long woody stem of one variety was used for small pipes. They are grown from tubers. The dahlia is named after Swedish 18th-century botanist Anders Dahl. thanks for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*) IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN (BY LAW!!!)
